Cross-border & compliance

We import. You sell.

MoreShores acts as your Importer of Record across borders — handling customs, duties, VAT, permits and HS classification so goods land duty-paid and ready at our warehouse. Whether you ship across borders or simply import stock to sell locally, the customs complexity is ours.

How it works

From sourcing to shelf-ready.

Four steps from any origin to duty-paid stock in our warehouse — no import licence or local entity required on your side.

01

You source

You identify product from any origin — China, Europe, the USA or anywhere else. We advise on HS codes, duty rates and full landed cost before you commit a cent.

02

We import as IOR

MoreShores acts as your legal Importer of Record. We handle customs declarations, duty payments and VAT — no local entity or import licence required on your side.

03

We clear & comply

Our team manages customs and tax authority compliance in every market: permits, regulatory approvals and every supporting document for your shipment.

04

Stock lands ready

Goods arrive duty-paid and compliant at our warehouse — ready to store, list and fulfil. Zero customs admin on your side, whether you sell locally or across borders.

What we handle

The whole compliance burden, lifted.

Importer of Record

We act as your legal IOR in markets worldwide — carrying the compliance obligations so you never need a local entity.

Duties, VAT & landed cost

Full management of import duties, VAT and cross-border tax, with landed-cost modelling up front so there are no surprises at the border.

Permits & HS classification

Accurate HS classification plus the regulatory permits each market requires — handled before your goods ship, not after they are stuck in port.

Local payment collection

We collect local payments in each market — DAP customer payment links or DDP merchant billing — then repatriate funds to your account.

For local sellers

Domestic seller? You still import.

Most merchants source product from overseas suppliers, even if every order ships within the country. We bring that stock in as your Importer of Record, clear it through customs, pay the duties and VAT, and land it duty-paid at our warehouse — so it is ready for local pick-pack and courier dispatch the moment it arrives. No border crossing on the sales side, no customs admin on yours.

Common questions

Cross-border, answered.

Do I need my own import licence or local company?

No. As your Importer of Record, MoreShores carries the import licence and legal responsibility in each market, so you can sell there without registering an entity.

I only sell inside my home market — is this relevant to me?

Yes. Even purely domestic sellers import stock from overseas suppliers. We bring those goods in as IOR and land them duty-paid at our warehouse, ready for local fulfilment.

How do you handle duties and VAT?

We calculate landed cost up front, pay duties and VAT on import, and reconcile everything back to you — DAP via customer payment links or DDP via consolidated merchant invoicing.

What does DAP versus DDP mean for me?

DAP means the customer settles duties and taxes at delivery via a payment link; DDP means you prepay them and we bill you, so the buyer sees one all-in price. We support both.
